Composition of petroleum reforming catalyst

Reforming catalyst is the most important cornerstone of the whole Shidi chemical industry. The basic composition of precious metal catalyst is as follows:

1. Metal components.

Precious metals such as platinum, palladium, iridium, rhodium and so on are the basic active components of reforming catalyst and the core of catalyst. In the past 20 years, platinum - rhenium bimetallic reforming catalysts have replaced single platinum catalysts. The main role of rhenium is to reduce or prevent the metal component "coagulation", improve the carbon capacity and stability of the catalyst, extend the operation cycle, especially for the fixed bed reactor, industrial platinum rhenium catalyst in the rhenium and platinum content ratio is generally 1~2.

2. Acid component - halogen

The acid center of reforming catalyst is mainly provided by halogen. With the increase of halogen content, the catalytic activity of catalyst for isomerization and hydrogenation and other acidic reactions is enhanced. In the use of halogen, there are usually two kinds of chlorofluorocarbons and perchlorofluorocarbons.

3. Carrier

The carrier of reforming catalyst is generally composed of activated alumina. At present, more γ-Al203 is used. Its main role is to support (load) the active component, and the acidic function is composed with chlorine. Generally speaking, the carrier itself does not have catalytic activity, but has a larger specific surface and better mechanical strength, it can make the active component is well dispersed on the surface, so as to play its role more effectively, save the amount of active component, but also improve the stability and mechanical strength of the catalyst.
